Elle Fanning’s Beauty Evolution, From Child Star to Red Carpet Regular

Eight years after making her red carpet debut, Fanning's hair was longer, and her Hollywood star was rising. By this time, she had already starred in a number of films, including The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.

2013 was the start of makeup experiments for Fanning. She was often spotted with colorful eyeshadow, including this bright blue look, which also included light pink lip product.

Fully embracing the punk-inspired Met Gala theme, Fanning mixed blue and red for a sharp eye wing.

In a truly surprising beauty moment, Fanning temporarily swapped out her blonde hair for a brunette dye job. Her cheeks looking flushed, she added a black eye wing, too.

Totally ahead of the trend with this look, Fanning wore smeared sparkles and smudged black liner beneath her lower lid. For her lips, she chose a berry-colored stain.

Choosing makeup in hues of peach, Fanning kept her beauty look very neutral and minimal for this 2016 gala. She pulled her hair up, and allowed one curly piece to frame her face.

Wearing her hair in a tight top knot, Fanning again added some glitter, lining her lids in purple sparkle.

This was one of Fanning's most experimental looks. She added bangs, green liner, and wore her hair in a very tousled fashion.

Again with a bold eyeliner look, Fanning used heavy, black liner to accent her bottom lid. She placed the color along her crease, too.

Looking pretty in pink, Fanning added a bright headband to her curled hair. She coordinated the color with her lip product, and dusted her eyelids in a sheer shimmer.

Fanning's take on camp-inspired fashion included over-the-top nail adornment, and a wavy ponytail that sat directly atop her head.

Fanning went true old Hollywood for this look. Her hair was much shorter, and curled at the ends. Adding a hat, she paired the accessory with classic red lipstick.

This look — with its milkmaid braid, dainty flowers, and minimal makeup — was ethereal and dewy.
