Last night in L.A., Hedi Slimane showcased his Men’s FW16 collection at The Palladium, a staple concert hall residing on Sunset Boulevard. In an ode to the L.A. music scene, the city where Slimane has been based since 2008, models walked down the runway in rocker-inspired looks while a slew of major fashion and music influencers sat front row. From musicians, to models, to actresses, the audience was certainly celebrity-driven with guests such as Lady Gaga, Zoe Kravitz, and Justin Bieber in attendance.
The brocade and velvet-heavy collection itself gave us major '70s rock ‘n’ roll vibes, boasting hand-embroidered glittering dresses, military jackets, and, of course, lots of leather. Many of the pieces are unisex, following suit with the gender-neutral trend we’ve been seeing a lot of at the menswear shows this season.
With music acts such as Joan Jett, Father John Misty, Beck, and Cherry Glazerr taking the stage at the afterparty, we're suffering serious FOMO.
