Alexa Chung Designed Pajamas You'll Want To Wear Outside
Her namesake brand just released some stylishly cool PJ sets, nightdresses, robes, and sleep masks
Leave it to Alexa Chung to create stylishly cool sleepwear that you'll actually want to wear when you're wide awake in public. Her namesake fashion brand, Alexachung, just released a new line of PJ sets, dresses, robes, and sleep masks, priced between $50 and $403. Chung referenced a slew of nostalgic nightgowns, from 19th-century styles to pieces from the '50s and '70s, while designing, adding a modern twist to her offerings through pastel colorways (blue, yellow, and the very on-trend pistachio green) and more classic details, like stripes and paisley prints.
"I was always told that purchasing a good bed was a wise investment since you spend around a third of your life sleeping, and I'd like to think the same can be said about sleepwear," said Chung in a press release. Fair point. And since the street style star has a knack for creating effortlessly chic outfits, we're not surprised that her idea of sleepwear can also be incorporated into one's everyday wardrobe, too. Take, for example, any of the pajama set tops, which can easily go with jeans, while the bottoms can be paired with a T-shirt. We could also see the nightgowns layered over trousers, or, as Chung prefers while on vacation, worn on its own with sandals. Even the dressing gown (a robe, essentially) can be thrown on to finish off a put-together look. Of course, the playsuits can be considered as evening-friendly garments once you pair them with heels, or you can go the casual route with sneakers or boots.
