best dressed: aubrey plaza
why we like ladylike.

Though I’m all about rocking menswear-inspired gear (athletic shoes for the win!), I’ve found myself occasionally craving some good, old fashioned femininity. Judging by actress Aubrey Plaza’s girly, retro-inspired ensemble she donned to a party earlier this month, I’m going to guess she feels the same way.
The actress donned a demure tie-neck dress in eye-catching fire engine red. Side pockets and a short hemline amped up the frock’s cool factor. Keeping the focus on her outfit, Plaza kept the rest of her look simple with nude pumps, loose waves, and a minimalist gold bangle.
I, personally, won’t be retiring my favorite sneakers anytime soon. But next time I want to girl up my look (date night, perhaps?), I’ll be taking major inspiration from Plaza. Check out my picks below to see how I’ll be recreating the actress’ outfit--and snag similar looks for yourself.
