If you've got the song for it, all it takes to make a great video is hire one of the dopest dancers you can find, scout some striking locations, grab a camera and stereo, and press play. That's essentially the concept behind Beat Connection's delightful video for "Illusion," which stars the elastic dancer Sean Douglas aka Brixx, who has helped popularize the style of dance knows as Flexn. In the dance, which originated in Brooklyn in the '90s and was inspired by a Jamaican dancehall version called bruk up, arms are twisted as though bones have left sockets, and feet glide across the earth as if they're hovering just above it. Brixx's moves fit perfectly with the electro-pop quartet's stylish and cathartic tune, and you can check it out above.
