BEAUTY QUEEN: HAILEE STEINFELD

At last night's CFDA Awards, Hailee Steinfeld was the coolest 16-year-old on the red carpet--not the mention the shiniest, since her hair looked perfect too. "Hailee was wearing a beautiful two-piece Suno dress covered in Swarovski crystals, so with the Asian-inspired pattern and all of the crystal embellishments, we decided that her hair should be on the simpler side," explains her hair stylist for the evening, Matthew Monzon. He adds, "Hailee has very long, amazingly healthy hair, and I just wanted it to look its best."

We'd say that he was more than successful--here's how he did it:

PROTECT IT: Davines Melu Thermal Protecting Shield with Rosemary Extract - $28.80, Davies OI / Oil Absolute Beautifying Potion with Roucou Oil - $40.96

"Staring with damp hair, I used Davines Melu Thermal Protecting Shield to coat the hair. I then took the Davines OI Oil and emulsified it in my hands and coated the hair from mid-shaft through the ends of the hair."

STRAIGHTEN IT: Kiss Tornado 360 1875W Ionic Blow Dryer - $24.79

"I placed a deep center part and began the blow-dry, [doing it] section by section with a large flat brush, making sure not to put any bend on the ends."

FINISH IT: L'Oreal Elnett Satin Extra Strong Hold Hair Spray - $14.99

"Once dried I took a bit more of the OI oil and pulled it through the ends to give a bit of separation and shine. I finished the look with just a touch of L'Oreal Elnett Hair Spray to tame a flew fly-aways."
