BEST DRESSED: CRITICS CHOICE AWARDS

Our favorite tv stars out of their tv wardrobe—even lady edith.

We were quite happy with the list of winners at last night's Critics Choice Television Awards, since most of our favorite shows made the cut: The Big Bang Theory, Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, and The Daily Show With Jon Stewart took home an award for best talk show. The same went for the talent: Julia Louis-Dreyfus won for her hilarious starring role in Veep, Elisabeth Moss took home an award not for Mad Men, but for best actress in the miniseries Top of the Lake, and Patton Oswalt for his role on Parks and Recreation.

But like most award shows, there's an entirely separate winner's circle to focus on--the best dressed celebs of the night. So many NYLON favorites walked the red carpet in gowns you'd likely see at the Oscars: Emmy Rossum in an all-red beaded Naeem Khan gown, Diane Kruger in Nina Ricci, Aubrey Plaza, and Lizzy Caplan. Then there was the real treat, Laura Carmichael, aka Lady Edith from Downton Abbey who wore sequin stripes--the exact opposite of early-century garb.
