BEST DRESSED: GOLDEN GLOBE AWARDS

the red carpet season heats up!

by rebecca willa davis

What did we learn at last night's Golden Globe Awards? For one thing, girls run the world. Literally--Girls nabbed two awards (one for Lena Dunham's performance and another for the show itself), Adele mouthed a profanity before heading onstage to accept her Golden Globe, Jodie Foster accepted her lifetime achievement award with both grace and humor, and of course, Tina and Amy killed it as hosts.

What else did we learn? That white dress trend we saw on the red carpets of the People's Choice Awards and Critics' Choice Awards last week? Still going strong. Also, that cut-outs are totally black tie appropriate, judging by the looks worn by Emily Blunt, Kristen Wiig, and Allison Williams. And that not even celebs are immune to the super-flu: Apparently Jennifer Lawrence attended the awards sick, but she still looked amazing in her Dior Haute Couture dress (also, bonus point for her First Wives Club reference during her acceptance speech).

There were a lot of looks to love, but here are our favorites. Click through to see them all.
