Bibi Bourelly Continues To Keep It Real In Her Latest Video “Sally”
Are you a “Sally”?
Back in December, Def Jam Recordings signee Bibi Bourelly made her big music video debut with "Ego." The singer-songwriter previously released a bubbly interactive video for "Sally," but now the official music video for the single has arrived. Directed by Sebastian Sdaigui, the footage follows different individuals as they go through their regular routines within their unique environments. (Little Simz even makes a cameo.)
Bibi Society, a new website created in sequence with the music video, provides more context for the video with the following statement: "SALLY, at his or her core, is someone who shakes off hate, negativity, and bad vibes and maintains focus and energy on what is most important for him or her. SALLY is an identifier for like-minded people coming together towards a common goal. SALLY is the modern day, genderless Rosie the Riveter, a symbol for a new generation of people."
On Instagram, Bourelly further expressed her passion for the project in a post on Instagram: "THANK YOU TO ALL OF THE PEOPLE WHO WERE A PART OF THE #SALLY MUSIC VIDEO," she wrote. "IT STARTED OFF AS MY SONG AND NOW IT IS OUR SONG. IT BELONGS TO THE WORLD. LOVE IT ,HATE IT ,DICUSS. TALK ABOUT IT. TIME TO CHANGE SHIT #FREETHEREAL"
In other words, we are all Sally. Watch the striking video, below.
