The Look:

Marni for H&M Lookbook

It's Monday. It's gross out. I have nothing to wear. So I'm planning on throwing on a boxy top, some printed trousers (my M.O.), putting my post-weekend hair into a messy braid, and running out the door. If only I could make it as glamorous as this looks....

The Face:

Sephora Outrageous Volume Mascara--$15

New in at Sephora, this mascara really delivers on its promise to up the lash volume in a huge way. Ever since it landed on my desk, I use it every morning-- and it covers every little lash, pumps up the volume, and makes me look put together instantly. I'm convinced the miracle lies in the itty bitt bristles, but I don't really care...as long as it works.

The Inspiration:

Devon Aoki from NYLON's October 2000 Issue

I can't put my finger on

why

this old school photo of Devon Aoki is so compelling, but I love it. Zoomed in so we can see her curly hair and freckles, it's the type of page I want to rip out and plaster above my desk.

The News:

Jesse Eisenberg turns author.

The Social Network

star will publish a collection of short stories next year. And although you might think this choice seems random, it's actually not. He's already written two plays, been published in

The New Yorker,

and currently writes a column for McSweeny's. Overachiever, much? Get ready to love him even more.

The Song:

"Where Did The Love Go?" by Bipolar Sunshine

Sometimes--especially on Monday morning--you need to ask tough questions like these. (P.S. This song isn't depressing, I promise!)
