Cardi B And J.Lo Teamed Up For A New Bilingual Track

“Two bad bitches that came from the Bronx, Cardi from the Pole, Jenny from the block”

by Taylor Bryant

As promised (and previously teased), Bronx natives Cardi B and Jennifer Lopez have teamed up for a new bilingual track.

“Dinero” finds the two artists talking about their love for making money moves, specifically merengue-ing to the money and bachata-ing to the bank. Cardi B channels her trap Selena Quintanilla alter ego that she introduced on Migos’ “Motorsport.” It’s even more fitting this time around though since J.Lo played the famous American singer in the 1997 film Selena. Cardi also mentions another iconic trailblazer as she raps: “I’ll backhand a bitch like Serena.”

Both Cardi and J.Lo go in and out of speaking Spanish throughout the song and DJ Khaled, who produced the song, lends his vocals (ahem, shouting). The true stars, nevertheless, are the “two bad bitches that came from the Bronx, Cardi from the Pole, Jenny from the block.”

Listen to “Dinero,” below. It will likely appear on J.Lo’s upcoming Spanish-language album Por Primera Vez.
