The News: A Mistaken For Strangers Musical (?)

The National’s frontman, Matt Berninger, hired his younger brother of nine years, Tom, to join the band on tour as a roadie. Tom then took it upon himself to turn his experience into a rock documentary, Mistaken For Strangers. Apparently the Berninger brothers were approached to create a Broadway adaptation of the experience. So who do they cast? None other than Ted Danson and Zach Galifianakis, clearly. Then they documented the experience in a Funny or Die video, naturally.

The Look: adidas Originals

Adidas Originals is updating its OG cult classics sneaker with Italian leather uppers and snakeskin details. Not like you needed an excuse to rock some high tops and cuffed jeans, but at least you have one now.

The Face: Topshop Grunge Stick in Go Go, $14

Smudge this teal green shadow stick across your upper and lower lids and blend for a grunge mermaid look. Or create a cat eye and smooth the pencil across your lower lashline and blend slightly for an eye-opening effect. It’s your prerogative.

The Inspiration: Rebekah Campbell’s Instagram

The 21-year-old photographer’s Instagram is filled with ruffian ease, nostalgic haze, and sartorial inspiration, AKA everything you could ever want or need in an insta.

The Song: “Tied Up, Tied Down” by TEEN

If you haven’t already jammed out to TEEN’s “Tied Up, Tied Down,” now is the time, especially with the unveil of their new music video. The track, off their The Way And Color album, is filled with synthy ’70s vibes and dreamy harmonies. As for the video, it’s a surreal take on teenage nostalgia, filled with equal parts teenage delinquency and makeout sessions. The only disappointment? The lack of a Parker Posey cameo.
