The News: Childish Gambino's Public Diss

Childish Gambino, aka Donald Glover, called out Drake, Schoolboy Q, and Kendrick Lamar during a Sydney freestyle performance this weekend. Among the expletive verses, he said, "I'm the best rapper, definitely top 5." Oh d-a-n-g! The best part? He was wearing nothing but jorts whilst doing so. (Question: Do people even say "diss" anymore? Please advise. Then watch the video below.)

The Look: Ashley Smith for RVCA

Unkempt bleached hair, skate tanks, some beat-up sneaks, oversized shades—you're killing the game, kid!

The Face: Marc Jacobs Kiss Pop Lip Color Stick in "Pow", $28

Yesterday, the heavens opened up and dropped these beauties on my desk. The suspiciously sinister packaging (could it have been a u-boat that launched these in front of my desktop?) and the unyielding application (was the color even going on?) threw me off guard. Could Marc have failed me? "No! Never!," I metaphorically screamed, with invisible tears in my eyes. But alas, I looked in the mirror and there it was—the only pale pink lip I've ever enjoyed on myself, let alone loved. (Jackie and Liza also found love in "Pop Rock" and "Headliner.")

    The Inspiration: Warpaint's "Disco//Very" Video

There isn't anything better than a girl gang, so grab your best pals, a jar of manic panic, and a tell-tale heartbeat and take to the streets!

The Song: "Mother & Father (TCTS Remix)" by BROODS

Couldn't figure out a way to finagle BROODS' laid-back "Mother & Father" track into your party playlist this weekend? Well, you obviously didn't try hard enough. Luckily you can have another go at it today, tomorrow, and pretty much the rest of your life with house artist TCTS' beat-driven take on the anthem. I'm not usually one for house, so the fact that I've been jamming to this for a full 24-hours already really says something.
