CL Makes Her Big American Debut On “LIFTED”

Another banger from the K-pop sensation

by Sydney Gore

If you weren't previously riding the K-pop wave, buckle up because CL has taken the wheel. The 25-year-old singer, rapper, and model has been on the radar since 2009 when she joined the South Korean girl group 2NE1. Now that she's officially gone solo, where better for the K-pop megastar to make her mark than in New York City?

In the music video for her latest single "LIFTED," CL shows us how she rolls in the Big Apple with a nod to Wu-Tang Clan's "Method Man." The song was written by CL, Teddy, and Asher Roth, so you know that it's bursting with rhythm and flow. CL totally owns the streets as she dances on bridges, drinks a brown paper-bagged 40-ounce bottle on basketball courts, and smokes up in an auto shop with her homies, among other things.

We would also like to mention that every single look that she walks out in is super fly. Not only do we want to hang out with her, but we want to borrow everything in her wardrobe. (Hook a girl up, CL.)

Watch it all go down in the video, below.
