Clothes go better with Coke…

Coke by DRx

Los Angeles-based designer

Darren Romanelli

AKA DRx has made a name for himself taking two and three pieces of vintage clothing and Frankenstine-ing them into a new creation. The entities and brands he's partnered with range from Nike and Looney Tunes to Jaeger LaCoultre and Rolex and a dozen others. The designer not only repurposes clothing, but most recently he's been directing music videos and has even formed his own creative agency.

When the folks at Coca-Cola Fashion--who have been making a lot of noise with collaborations with people like Jack Spade, A Bathing Ape’s Nigo and Marc Jacobs-announced they were teaming up with the good doctor we knew the results would be radical. Romanelli has been leaking images of the ongoing project onto

his Instagram

and this week we got the first look at the items in person. The Coca-Cola X DRx collaboration consists of a range of carefully-sourced retro Coke clothing that has been re-imagined into a whole range of 200 new pieces. Romanelli even sent us one of his limited edition cut-and-sew tees which you can pick up along with various pieces of the collection at Beams (Tokyo), Collette (Paris), Opening Ceremony (NYC and LA), Union (LA) and Juice (Shanghai).
