The 20 Standout Wedding Dresses From Bridal Fashion Week

Walk to the beat of your own “Canon In D” in these daring looks

by Irina Grechko

For the last few seasons, bridal designers have come to the realization that not every girl wants to walk down the aisle in a traditional strapless white wedding dress—hell, some girls even want to wear pants on their wedding day—and it's a great thing for several reasons. In addition to meeting the demand of brides-to-be who are looking to buck tradition, sartorially speaking, and craving something different and one-of-a-kind, it has prompted designers to come up with more exciting and avant-garde designs than ever seen before.

This season's bridal fashion week, presenting the collections of Spring 2018, was proof. In addition to sending out gowns featuring revealing cutouts, unorthodox textures, and innovative embellishments, the creative masterminds behind the all-around beautiful designs experimented with daring colors (red, anyone?) and expanded on the idea of fashion-forward wedding separates.

Ahead, 20 daring dresses we loved.
