Watch Michael B. Jordan Go Wild in the ‘Creed’ Trailer

meet adonis creed

by Ben Barna

Michael B. Jordan's first starring vehicle since his breakout in Fruitvale Station is here, and it's a doozy. In Creed, a pseudo installment in the Rocky franchise directed by Fruitvale's Ryan Coogler, Jordan goes all out as the son of Apollo Creed, Rocky Balboa's friend and worthiest opponent. We don't get much sense of a plot in this kinetic, nearly three-minute clip, except that eventually Jordan's character, who needs to channel his anger into boxing prowess, seeks out Sylvester Stallone's aging Rocky for some training in and out of the ring. There will be a love interest, there will be adversity, there will be a climactic fight. There will however, not be any laughs.

Creed hits theaters repeatedly on November 25.
