Cult Worthy: iiJin

Get Ready to Party and Look effortlessly Cool

by Marissa Smith

iiJin, (pronounced "e-gene," if you were confused) is our new favorite brand. iiJin is created by Christina Minasian who studied in Paris and New York and broke into the fashion industry as a window and interior stylist for Ralph Lauren. Lucky enough for Minasian, she was hired by Lauryn Hill to style her tour costumes, and from then on went to be a buyer for Kitson and launched a line called Pencey and Sauce before joining the iiJin company. Focusing on the free-spirited individual who mixes cool with a bit of dapper, this brand fuses sequins and lady with streetwear to perfection. Their key is to make their clothing feel effortless but on-trend as a luxury fashion brand. We are in love with their spring/summer 2016 collection as it mixes kitschy patchwork varsity jackets with sequined dresses and menswear-inspired tuxedo pants.
