The problem with being on a show as gritty as The Walking Dead is that sometimes the general public forgets that, underneath the dirt-encrusted blood, you are still a human being. One of the great joys of red carpet spotting is seeing how gorgeous the gals who play dirty clean up, which is a true testament to how well the sell you on a character. (Unrelated tangent: Gwendoline Christie, who plays the ass-kicking Brienne of Tarth on Game Of Thrones, always slays it on the red carpet.)
Tonight, Danai Gurira (Michonne) showed up to the AMAs looking so perfectly polished, it rocked our world more than, well, no spoilers, but certain flashback scenes from TWD. Not only is her skin glowing and dewy, but it seems like her body has also been highlighted in some sort of ethereal shimmer that we are guessing probably came from the tears of a unicorn. With darker blush and a complementing lip, she seems so far away from Atlanta and her katanas, it is unbelievable. (Also, we have a new eyelash icon, because hers are just eye-opening and dramatic.)
To be clear, she still kills it in jeans and braids, but seeing Michonne all pretty and de-blooded is an awesome treat.
