Here’s The Zombie Western Starring All Your Favorite Boy Banders That You Never Knew You Wanted

Yes, You Read That Right

If you ever wondered what happened to the armies of boy-banders that almost single-handedly kept the frosted tips industry alive during the late '90s and early aughts, well, SyFy has your answer. The niche network has assembled a motley crew of D-list members from Backstreet Boys, 'NSYNC, 98 Degrees, and yes, even O-Town, for Dead 7, a two-hour original TV movie about a zombie apocalypse in a post-apocalyptic west.

If you're looking for something high-brow, look elsewhere. This one comes from the makers of Sharknado, which means schlock will not only be tolerated, it will be embraced. Nick Carter came up with the idea, and he'll star alongside his ex-bandmates A.J. McLean and Howie Dorough. They'll be joined by 'N Sync alumni Joey Fatone and Chris Kirkpatrick, O-Town's Erik-Michael Estrada, Jacob Underwood, Trevor Penick, and Dan Miller, and 98 Degrees' Jeff Timmons. Unfortunately for Mr. Timmons, this is a zombie movie, and since he's the lone representative from Nick Lachey's former cash cow, he'll likely be the first to bite the dust.

Noticeably absent from the festivities, is Justin Timberlake, who likely had a scheduling conflict. After all, that whole “global pop star/movie star” thing can get pretty hectic. Here's hoping he'll strap on the chaps for the inevitable Dead 7 2: Even Deader.

Dead 7 premieres April 1 on Syfy. Watch the trailer above.
