EDITOR’S PICK: RESORT 2014

eight looks we’ve been freaking out over—and think you will too.

Since the beginning of the month we've been running around the city, checking out resort collection after resort collection. It's like a slightly more low-key Fashion Week--and we certainly weren't disappointed.

After sharing with you our favorite trends (not to mention the most to-die-for looks from Marc by Marc Jacobs), we asked our Marked Director Rachael Wang to pick her eight favorite looks she saw from the resort '14 collections. Click through to see her picks--and explanations for why, come next year, you're going to want to be wearing them.

Acne: Long white silk is surprisingly easy-going with a casual knot and some funky, chunky sandals.

Stella McCartney: Super-girly pastels get a sporty twist at Stella McCartney. I love the layering in this look.

Band of Outsiders: Suiting on a girl is beyond cool. Band of Outsiders did a slick light gray tuxedo that will look equally awesome with beat-up Chucks or four-inch stilettos.

Chloe: Clare Waight Keller designed chilled-out looks meant to be worn with flats, which were the standouts of the collection. The sandals are modeled after the leash and Velcro strap worn around your ankle when you're surfing.

3.1 Phillip Lim: Leather is still a big trend for Resort. 3.1 Phillip Lim used it to design an awesome pair of track pants with mint green racing stripes.

Louis Vuitton: An unexpected flash of skin makes this country-girl look sexy and alluring. Also, Dani Stahl and I were going bonkers for the clogs at the presentation.

Thakoon: The LBD I'm all about right now.

Herve Leger: A resort wardrobe is not complete without a swimsuit. I'm a water sports kind of girl and this saucy Herve Leger number looks like it'll stay put.
