Khaleesi WIll Make You Cry All the Tears In The New ‘Me Before You’ Trailer
khaleesi like you’ve never seen her before
Say hello to Emilia Clarke like you've never seen her before. In the new trailer for Me Before You, Clarke ditches the icy ruthlessness that’s made Khaleesi one of Game of Thrones' most imposing characters, for something far warmer. In it, Clarke plays the delightfully appealing Louisa, who takes a job as a caretaker for a reclusive man named Will (played by The Hunger Games' Sam Claflin), a former businessman whose life was shattered after an accident leaves him paralyzed.
In Jojo Moyes' bestselling novel on which the film is based, Louisa, armed with her infectious cheeriness and undeniable charm, helps Will change his outlook on life. The two eventually fall in love and have their relationship tested when tragedy strikes. Based on the new extended trailer, the film promises much of the same. Consider it a spiritual sequel to The Fault in Our Stars, which means seeing it without at least a truck load of Kleenex at your disposal would be a massive mistake.
Interesting side note: Charles Dance, who played Tywin Lannister on Game of Thrones, joins his fellow Westeros alum as Will’s father. Jenna Coleman, Matthew Lewis, Brendan Coyle, Janet McTeer, and Joanna Lumley also star.
Cry all the tears when Me Before You opens in theaters June 3. Watch the trailer above.
