EOS Has Allegedly Been Kissed with a Lawsuit

our lips are sealed

EOS is reportedly smack dab in the middle of a sticky lawsuit. Customers are claiming that the brand's lip balm has caused negative reactions such as “severe rashes, bleeding, blistering, cracking and loss of pigmentation.” So if you've been told that you've got a big mouth, EOS might be to blame. Among those unfortunate things, many have also complained that the product gets moldy after use. (Eww!) Miley Cyrus once chanted "we can't stop and we won't stop," but you really might want to actually consider stopping yourself from using this product immediately if the allegations are found to be true.

Kim Kardashian and Britney Spears have also represented the brand as spokeswomen for the popular lip balm in the past. We have reached out to EOS for a comment addressing the lawsuit and are awaiting a response.

UPDATE 1/13/2016 5:18 PM: Nancy Chan, the marketing director of EOS, emailed us the following statement regarding the lawsuit filed by Mark Garago: "Our products are made with the highest quality ingredients and meet or exceed all safety and quality standards set out by our industry and validated by rigorous testing conducted by an independent lab. The health and well-being of our customers is our top priority and millions of satisfied customers use our products every day, many of whom take the time to share their experiences with us."
