FACE OFF: LEAVE-IN CONDITIONER
take the oil. leave the moisture.
My hair often leaves me feeling like I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place--the rock being dry, color-damaged locks, and the hard place being overly-conditioned tresses that look ready for another wash 12 hours after showering. Until my newfound infatuation with leave-in conditioner, that is. After testing out the two most recent formulas to hit the beauty counter-- both specifically tailored to color-treated and/or damaged hair-- I feel like my entire life has changed. Seriously. My hair stays soft and bouncy, while remaining a clean, just-showered look, for days after application. Check out my findings below, and you can thank me later.
The Product : Dove Color Care Leave On Conditioner
The Promise: Keep you color looking glossy and bright, rather than faded and brittle.
The Result: Oh-so sleek! And my locks still look perfectly clean 24-hours after application!
Use It: If you have color-treated hair that needs a pick-me-up!
The Product: Nexxus Hydra-Light Leave-In Conditioning Foam ($16.19)
The Promise: Prevent static and flyaways and keep locks feeling silky and smooth--sans looking the least bit greasy.
The Result: Totally frizz-free hair with a flirty bounce to it.
Use It: If you have fine hair that tends to fall flat when applying oil or over-conditioning. Plus, it's the product to use before a long night out dancing, as it will keep your hair in place (meaning you won't come home at 2am with the crazy static hair I always manage to achieve with after a night of wild dancing).
