If the rich-looking private jet and seductive-yet-looming elevator music didn't tip you off, what you're about to watch is the teaser trailer for the third and final installment of the iconic book-turned-movie franchise, Fifty Shades. It technically premiered after the credits of Fifty Shades Darker, the second film, but who honestly sat through the riveting Rita Ora number that played out the credits? (Shook and filled with questions, I did.)
Anyway, here it is. We're a little less than a year away from its Valentine's Day week release in 2018, but foreplay has always been Christian Grey's forte. It's technically called Fifty Shades Freed because one can safely assume someone will be liberated from something during its likely two-plus hour rollout. (Ankle braces and expensive wrist ties? Possibly! A crippling past that renders real human connection void? Maybe so! A kidnapping? Oh, wait. Not yet.)
All we're teased with is Christian (Jamie Dornan) and Anastasia Steele (Dakota Johnson) living their rich, married fantasies in Europe. Money isn't supposed to buy happiness, but these two sure look happy spending it. But that aforementioned elevator music swells toward the end, leading us to believe drama is right around the perfectly chiseled and polished marble corner. See it for yourself above.
