FUTURE ISLANDS X JAVELIN

With their joyous melodies and throw-your-hands-up-in-the-air choruses, Future Islands' latest album On the Water makes the perfect road trip soundtrack. But while we're not heading on vacation anytime soon (bummer, we know...), the Baltimore trio is embarking on a major nationwide tour.

You can get a firsthand glimpse at life on the road in the band's tour diary, which they'll share right here in a couple of weeks. But don't worry- we've got something equally great to tide you over until then. They've teamed up with tourmates Javelin on a special remix of their track "Crish." And while the original song didn't make it on the album, the remix is included on the iTunes version of On the Water, which you can buy here.

Check out what bassist William Cashion has to say about the track:

"Crish is a song that was recorded for On the Water but the lyrics weren't completed in time to make the cut. We asked Javelin if they would do a remix of it for a bonus track. At this point, we're not sure if our version of "Crish" will ever see the light of day, but we really love what Javelin did with it... I feel like it's more of a collaboration than a remix."
