The Gotham Awards Red Carpet Was A Scene Out Of A Disney Fairy Tale

‘Twas fashion worth celebrating

by Jenna Igneri

Last night in New York City, Hollywood A-listers gathered for the 27th annual Gotham Independent Film Awards to celebrate the best in indie film, with this year's nominees including Lady Bird, I, Tonya, and Call Me By Your Name (which took home the award for Best Feature).

However, we felt that the ceremony’s red carpet was also worth celebrating, as three of our favorite Hollywood ladies stepped out in the most enchanting gowns, serving us major fairy tale vibes. Yep, this year, we want to dress like ethereal forest fairies a la Greta Gerwig, Saoirse Ronan, and Allison Williams.

Gerwig, actress and director of Lady Bird, wore pink python-printed, ruffled magic from Gucci, complete with glitzy crystal details. Her leading lady, Ronan, who happened to take home the award for Best Actress for her role in the remarkable film, also stunned in a white lace floral embroidered gown from Rodarte. Williams, who was in attendance for her role in Get Out, wore the most breathtaking muted green floral Giambattista Valli Couture gown—something we can totally see Florence Welch also rocking.

Do we smell a red carpet trend in the making? We think so. Catch us wearing fairy tale-appropriate lace and floral embroidery all holiday season long.
