Here’s Everyone We Chilled With At This Year’s Hangout Festival
We came, we saw, we mellowed out
This year's Hangout Festival was unlike any other. Not only were we blessed with a stacked, star-studded lineup that boasted the likes of Kendrick Lamar, SZA, Halsey, and other faves, but we had the opportunity to turn down for once and enjoy the Alabama sun, sand, and some cute (albeit large) flamingo floats.
No shade to any upcoming events, but Hangout is going to be tough to beat. What other fest do you know that has a roller disco, wedding chapel, and puppy kissing booth?
Needless to say, our standards for all our summer festivities are pretty high. Take a trip down memory lane in our slideshow, below, and please, don't mind our post-festival sadness as we count down until next year's fest.
Halsey is us at every Halsey show.
Sunflower Bean is serving up some serious Bowie vibes.
Caroline Rose is living our best big kid fantasies.
Portugal. The Man had us feeling the groove.
The Knocks or the Knicks? Who knows!
Pussy Riot did not come here to play.
If only we could relax as hard as Ron Gallo.
Is it just us or does this sunset look like a cotton candy swirl?
All hail queen SZA!
The Killers frontman Brandon Flowers is giving us theatrics, baby!
DJ Dena Amy
Ain't no party like a Tank & The Bangas party!
Bleachers' Jack Antonoff has got his stage crouch down pat.
Spotted: a wild DJ Whethan backstage.
We definitely need Leikeli47's bandana mask ASAP.
Foster the People are experts at throwing shade.
St. Vincent out here looking like a tangerine dream.
Lounging done the right way.
Tash Sultana or an actual ray of sunshine? You decide.
Noname's patterned dress was definitely one of our favorite style moments.
ODESZA brought the action (and a TON of insane lights.)
We definitely sank our teeth into Grouplove's unforgettable set.
With Kendrick Lamar closing out our weekend, we couldn't have asked for a better experience.
