A Weekend With St. Vincent, SZA, And Kendrick Lamar? Say No More

Hangout Fest 2018 is lit

by Hayden Manders

Sorry to interrupt your holiday planning, but May 2018 is calling. Hangout Fest just released its lineup for next year, and you're going to want to start making arrangements now.

Why? Well: (1) because Hangout Fest takes place on the literal beaches of Gulf Shores, Alabama, and (2) because it's the one weekend where you're guaranteed to vibe to SZA, rock out with St. Vincent, and get your life watching Kendrick Lamar. If you're into some fist-pumping, The Chainsmokers will happily provide beats to do so. ODESZA, too, will be coming through with their sublime electronic atmosphere. Ska fans will be happy to know that Slightly Stoopid is set to take one of Hangout's many stages, as well.

Hangout Fest is one of the more exciting events of the year, partly due to its location, but also due to the diverse lineup of acts it gets. Between Halsey, The Killers, Lil Pump, GROUPLOVE, Skip Marley, Sunflower Bean, and BLEACHERS, there's a vibe for everyone. Plus, if you need a break from all of the crowds, there's always the ocean to dip your toes into. It is, after all, mere feet from the main stages. What other music festival can offer you that kind of escape?

Check out the full lineup, below. Hangout Fest will take place May 18 to 20. Tickets go on sale Thursday, November 16, at 11am CST. Come hang with us in the sand!
