Mavi comes from the Turkish word for blue, but it also happens to be the name of a denim brand that’s been branching out all the way from Istanbul to Greenwich Village. Sold everywhere from Nordstrom to Amazon, the brand has gained a huge following over the past few years. They no longer just produce things in mavi--most recently, they’ve announced the release of red jeans in their newest collection.
