JoJo’s Latest Music Video Proves the ’00s Star is Back For Good

Since the aughts, we have relied on JoJo’s power vocals to get us through all kinds of heartache and heartbreak—and her latest music video is no exception.

In “When Love Hurts,” JoJo returns to the pop scene, and it’s as though she never left. With a group of talented backup dancers, she adds a new, vibrant energy to her passionate song. A finger-tutting sequence also gives the music video a cool edge—and some rad dance moves for us to attempt at home.

Now that she’s back in the biz, JoJo is here to rightfully reclaim her throne as the pop princess (she was the youngest solo artist in the U.S. to have a #1 single at age 13, after all). But we wouldn’t mind if she wanted to go in a more acoustic direction either. As she showed in some promo clips on her Instagram, girl has some vocal chords—no autotune necessary.
