Art lovers and color aficionados alike are going to fall in love with Alice + Olivia’s latest artist collaboration: Keith Haring x Alice + Olivia.
The inspiration for Alice + Olivia designer Stacey Bendet's new capsule collection first came about when she was dreaming up her Resort 2019 line: The pops of primary colors she used throughout reminded her of Haring's work.
In this new collection, you’ll find the late artist’s colorful dancing figures, hearts, and more boldly placed on the brand’s signature styles, from leather biker jackets and parkas to silk blouses and patchwork skirts. The line also includes a handful of whimsical accessories, from block heel pumps and an evening clutch to a cosmetic case and duffel bag, all bearing a Keith Haring twist.
For Bendet, it’s not just Haring’s artistry that urged her to create a collection surrounding him, but rather, everything he stood for. “I have always been a fan of Keith Haring’s work—the colors and graphics,” said Bendet in an official press release from the brand. “He was also one of the first artists to advance social causes and I think at this time in our world it’s especially important to support artists who have made a difference.”
Haring isn’t the first colorful and in-your-face artist Bendet and her brand have worked with. Remember the epic Jean-Michel Basquiat capsule of 2016? The brand has also partnered with artists Domingo Zapata and Donald Robertson in the past.
The 29-piece collection ranges from $48 to $1,295 and is available now at AliceandOlivia.com. Take a closer look at the vibrant new offering, below.
