Kendall Jenner Just Landed Her First ‘Vogue’ Cover (Finally)
Welcome to “Generation K”
Anyone who’s been watching the rise of Kendall Jenner would know that it was only a matter of time before she graced the cover of American Vogue. Well, the day has finally come, and what better cover is there than the coveted September issue?
Photographed by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott and styled by Tonne Goodman, Jenner covers the issue in a Gucci brocade bolero jacket adorned with pink ribbon bows and a pair of matching trousers—and nothing underneath, showing just the right amount of skin.
She talks a number of personal topics with Vogue’s Jonathan Van Meter, from the first time she spotted Caitlyn with lipstick and nail polish (confirming the fact that Bruce was not cheating on her mother), her affinity for ATVs and go-carts, and how her sisters taught her not to take everything so seriously. "People say a lot of what they think, and it's not always positive. And we never say anything. We just take it," Jenner tells Van Meter.
The news of Jenner's cover is really no surprise to us, considering she had her very own supplemental issue—a 52-page mini issue tagged along with Rihanna’s cover—with the glossy this past April. She also has a major Estée Lauder contract under her belt, in addition to having walked for some of the most major runway shows in the past seasons.
