(In a good way)

Kesha's comeback rolled along Saturday, as the singer performed a stirring rendition of the Oscar-nominated song, "Til It Happens to You," at The Humane Society of the United States' to the Rescue Gala in Hollywood. The song, written by Lady Gaga and Diane Warren for the sexual assault documentary The Hunting Ground, was especially poignant coming from Kesha, whose own experience with abuse have been well-documented

"I want to dedicate this song to every man, woman, child and animal that has ever been abused," Kesha told the audience. Accompanied by Warren on the piano, Kesha can be seen holding back tears throughout the emotional performance.

Lady Gaga, who gave her own stirring rendition of the song at this year's Oscars, took to Twitter to congratulate Kesha on her performance. "Killed it @KeshaRose," Gaga wrote. "I could feel your pain. Girl these boys won't be in charge forever. The wisdom of women is rising. Let's get louder."

Kesha's career has been on hold thanks to an ugly ongoing legal battle with Sony, but it appears the singer is finally ready to reenter the spotlight. Last week her new song "True Colors" hit the web, and she's set to go on tour this summer with Diplo's annual Mad Decent Block Party.
