Levi’s Made A New Skinny Jean For Every Girl’s Shape

Your soon-to-be staple

by Marissa Smith

Levi's has done it again, and again, and again. Levi's 501 jean started as a workwear clothing staple more than 140 years ago. They have now recreated the style with a slimmer cut leg and introduced the Skinny to the family of Levi's 501 group. They come with details we love to have on our Levi's denim: a classic button-fly closure, a higher rise, and two washes with more washes coming soon! (a vintage-feeling blue and a washed-out black). The black wash comes with a bit more stretch for you girls that like to feel a little comfier in your denim from day one. This also helps if you have a bit more of a curvier figure; with the high rise, the jeans will fit like a dream. You do, however, want to make sure you're getting them in your normal size, so they are just a bit harder to get on than a normal jean. The more you're struggling to get them on, the better your butt will look once they are around your waist. The struggle is worth it for this amazing pair.

I got to personally try them on, and all the petite girls, like me, will love that the inseam is a bit shorter (30 inch.) than a usual skinny jean, so I don't even need to cut or hem them! They really thought of everything when making this new skinny jean. “We are very careful when we touch the 501, and we do it with a lot of respect,” says Jonathan Cheung, the head of design at Levi’s. “People have been altering their vintage 501 jeans for a snug, skinnier fit for years, so we followed that as inspiration and created a vintage-looking 501 Skinny.” Check them out in the gallery below, and go grab them while you can. They'll for sure be your new favorite.
