pandora meets the local library in this awesome new website.

Between the millions of books for sale online, the thousands stocked in your neighborhood library, or even those sitting on your own bookshelf, let's just say that finding your next read can be overwhelming.

Luckily, the new site BookLamp does the searching for you, and finds you a book based on the last one you read. Using a Pandora-style method, this free system plugs in your old favorites, and finds new stories with similar characteristics in hundreds of categories like religion, history, fashion....and even brunch. There are definitely some flaws (we couldn't find classics like The Great Gatsby, The Perks of Being a Wallflower or Franny and Zooey), but they're constantly updating their system with new titles.

Check out some of the suggestions we received for a few of our beloved novels below, and click here to try it out for yourself.

The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo- The Last Man, The Man from Beijing, Into the Blue (newspaper reporting, scheduling, criminal investigation....)

The Beautiful and the Damned- The Rotters' Club, A Southern Exposure (emotional, pain and fear, romance....)

Into the Wild- Travels Along the Edge, The Routes of Man, Riding in the Shadows of Saints (rural travel, growing up, adventure)

Never Let Me Go - My Best Friend, Move Over Girl, Who I Am (time, emotional, education)

The Invisible Man- Under Western Eyes, Crime and Punishment, The Moon and Sixpence (home life, pain and fear, emotional)
