LOOKBOOK: CYNTHIA VINCENT

Even though her newest lookbook is for Resort 2012, we're tempted to go ahead and take styling cues from Cynthia Vincent for these dog days of late summer.

This time around, the designer showed off colorful printed dresses, boho blouses, and breezy trousers for a collection that gives a definite nod to the '70s, without looking like you stepped off the set of Almost Famous (not that there's anything wrong with that, but still...).

All of this is pretty basic, but it's little touches like knotting your floor-length skirts and throwing on lots of lightweight layers that carry these of-the-moment trends from summer all the way through fall.

Although the collection won't officially hit stores until winter, that's okay. Because we already have most of these pieces in our closet, we can go ahead and steal inspiration now- until we can stock up on the goods below ourselves.
