This Is The Most Beautiful Rap You’ll Hear All Day

Are you a star or a shard?

If you weren't already familiar with the works of Loyle Carner, a twenty-something rapper, chef, and songwriter from South London, prepare to become seriously obsessed after hearing his newest single. Last night, he debuted song "Stars & Shards" on Annie Mac's BBC Radio 1 show, and the lyrics will hit you hard in the feels.

In a recent interview with The FADER, Carner explained that the jazzy single is about how "in the right light a shard of glass will look like a star, but has none of its depth or detail."

You'd better hold on to something tight because the pure honesty of this insightful tune will blow you away. If you want more, stream the MC's previously released A Little Late EP here. If you fancy seeing him in the flesh, Carner will be touring in the U.K. next season. (Fingers crossed that he'll cross over to the States soon too.)
