Madonna + James Corden Brought The Hits On “Carpool Karaoke”

Along with the first in-car twerk

James Corden is one lucky dude. The runaway success of "Carpool Karaoke" has given him the opportunity to live out every pop music fan's fantasy. Who else can say they've had intimate, career-spanning sing-alongs with one-name legends like Mariah, Britney, Gaga, and Adele. One thing we don't envy, however, is the task of deciding which of their hits to sing. So when Madonna—the Queen of Pop herself—paid a visit to Corden's passenger seat on Wednesday, well, let's just say the late-night host had his work cut out for him.

With a career that spans decades, Madonna has more hits than any other pop star. So which era would Corden decide to zero in on? Would he start with retro '80s Madonna and work his way through her catalog chronologically? Or, would it be a random pastiche of her greatest hits? Well, when Madonna is involved, there are no rules, and it showed, especially when her latest hit, "Bitch I’m Madonna,” started playing, and Madge delivered what Corden called "the first in-car twerk I’ve ever seen.”

Other highlights include an unexpected rendition of "Don’t Cry for Me Argentina,” from Evita, which Corden really dug into; some salacious gossip ("Baby, I’ve been around,” Madonna said about her rumored hook up with Michael Jackson); and a triumphant cover of Madonna's classic "Papa Don't Preach." Once again, Corden delivered the goods, so much so, that when all is said and done, this latest installment might surpass Adele as the most-watched "Carpool Karaoke" ever.

Watch Madonna and James Corden get weird above.
