If you've ever lusted after Mansur Gavriel's instantly iconic (and perpetually sold-out) red-lined bucket bag, brace yourself for some major news. The American brand and the recipient of last year's Accessories Designer of the Year CFDA Award debuted a line of ready-to-wear at its New York Fashion Week show earlier this afternoon. "The ready-to-wear collection is a continuation of the concept of our brand: beautiful shapes and materials; a range of emotion expressed through texture and color," designers, Rachel Mansur and Floriana Gavriel, said in a press release that went out after the show.
In line with the brand's minimal accessories aesthetic, the knitwear and outwear collection boasts cozy cashmere sweaters, oversized wool coats, boxy sweater dresses, and turtlenecks in a muted palette of cream, gray, sky blue, camel, and pastel pink, as well as in rich hues of burgundy and brick and vibrant shades of red and yellow. Prices range from $295 for a short-sleeved mohair sweater to $1,495 for a cashmere coat. What's better, you don't have to wait until next spring to shop the soon-to-be coveted line—following a see-now-buy-now model, all the pieces became available online following the show.
In addition to the clothing, the brand introduced new handbag colorways and materials in six new shapes—Circle and Envelope crossbody bags, a sculptural Ocean bag, an elongated North South tote, a Drawstring hobo, and a travel bag—and six new shoes—a slingback, classic and lace-up Oxford, bow flat, tassel loafer, and a shearling-lined ankle boot in three heel heights.
Don't wait on these. If the bucket bag's ever-growing waiting list was any indication, these pieces will fly off the shelves equally fast. You can shop the collection now, here.
