map quest

oh, the places you’ll go…

You could say it all started with Christopher Kane. After all, this Scottish Central Saint Martins grad first made a name for himself several years ago with his wonderfully trippy (and surprisingly accurate) galaxy dresses. The frocks were so popular, they've been parading down runways ever since. They've even spawned a new kind of graphic fad for Summer- but instead of looking to the cosmos, designers are bringing things closer to home.

Roberto Cavalli, Timo Weiland, and Moschino are just a few of the ones showing landscape prints this season. Featuring some recognizable hotspots (Eiffel Tower and London phonebooths for Moschino), some vague locations (pretty naturescapes for Timo and Cavalli), and some cool objects (windmills for Karla Spetic and balloons for We Are Handsome), the term "location scout" is suddenly taking on a fashionable new meaning.

These dresses might not help you ace a geography test, but that's okay. At least you'll look cute while taking it.
