Michael B. Jordan Is The Hottest Fireman Ever In First ‘Fahrenheit 451’ Trailer

A glimpse of the Ray Bradbury adaptation

by Taylor Bryant

Michael B. Jordan has a thing for fire. In Black Panther, he (spoiler) burns down the heart-shaped herbs that give future Wakandan kings their strength. The scene is part sinister, part sexy. Haven’t seen it yet? First of all, shame on you. Second, here’s a GIF so you can see what you’re missing.

In the most recent trailer for HBO’s Fahrenheit 451, Jordan turns up the heat even more. Set in a dystopian society where the government controls the information its citizens consume by burning books that have the potential to spread any ideas, Fahrenheit 451 finds Jordan playing Guy Montag, a young law enforcer in charge of destroying all printed material. “By the time you all grow up, there won’t be one book left,” he tells a group of children in between scenes of him burning things. But, that’s not exactly true. When he encounters his neighbor Clarisse McClellan (played by Sofia Boutella), he starts to second guess his actions and everything he knows.

The Ray Bradbury adaptation premieres this spring. Watch the trailer, below.
