If the weather outside wasn’t frightful enough to have you pleading for warmer weather, Miu Miu’s latest campaign will. Aptly titled “Suddenly Next Summer,” the brand’s Spring/Summer 2017 ad is a sun-soaked, breezy delight.
Photographer Alasdair McLellan is behind the lens for the brand for the third time, and Elle Fanning is in front of the camera for the second. Fanning fronted Miu Miu’s Spring 2014 campaign and is just as much of a pleasant surprise this time around. The actress is joined by models Lara Stone, Karen Elson, and Carolyn Murphy, while newcomers Elsa Brisinger, Birgit Kos, Ellen Rose, Mayowa Nicholas, and Sonia Ben Ammar round out the bunch.
The stylish crew is pictured lying in the sand, swimming in the ocean, and posing with their mini crocodile-clad purses on the beach. As one does seaside. The actual clothes featured are ultra-feminine and quirky with a hint of retro— everything you expect a Miu Miu collection to be. There are even several printed fur coats shown which, oddly enough, don’t appear out of place given the setting.
