tv shows getting their own line of polishes is a thing now.
"Wait, does Cam have a polish?" Yes, that was an actual overheard-in-the-office moment. And yes, he does. See, Modern Family is getting its own line of lacquers via a partnership with Nicole by OPI. The line, which lands in stores in January 2013 and retails for $7.99 a bottle, includes shades for all the ladies on the show, from the lilac Am I Making Myself Claire to the sparkly She's Lily Something to the bold Basking in Gloria. But the dudes on the show also get their own shades--that even includes family patriarch and alpha-male Jay (his is a super subtle taupe). It's not the first show to got a line of polishes--most recently, we've been buzzing over the line of Deborah Lippmann x Girls bottles that are set for release early next year as well. In fact, it's not even the craziest TV-brand collab we've heard all week; that award would have to go to the Game of Thrones beers, which we discussed just yesterday. But that doesn't mean we're any less excited about it. In total, there are 14 shades to choose from. If we had to pick a favorite on color alone, it would probably be Luke of the Draw for it's chunky gunmetal glitter. But because this show is hilarious and the polish names should be, too, don't overlook What's the Mitch-uation? Because that's the best polish name we've heard all year.
