Alvvays

are you ready for a dream pop lo-fi adventure?!

by liza darwin

Toronto's Alvvays are the sweetest thing. No really, they are! This indie pop four piece has a candy-coated sound that's just edgy enough to have on repeat-- without the annoying saccharine musical hangover (c'mon, you know what we're talking about...).

All it takes is just one listen to see how this breakout band deserves a spot on your playlist, mostly thanks to their hazy pop melodies and nostalgic sensibility. While we'll have to wait a bit for their debut album, get a sneak peek of what to expect on the new track "Adult Diversion."

The single is a complete collision of everything we already love: singalong lyrics, a guitar-driven backbone, and a sun-drenched vibe that's sort of like all of our other dreamy faves decided to have a pow wow and join forces. So if you've ever wondered what a sleepover between The Pains of Being Pure at Heart, Yuck, and Veronica Falls would sound like, well, here you go! Check out their new video for "Adult Diversion" below and catch them on tour with Said The Whale now.
