At the Nicole Miller spring ’14 show, the muse was legendary teen rebel Marie Antoinette— with a twist. So makeup artist James Kaliardos focused on punky purple lips, while hairstylists Kevin Ryan and Frank Rizzieri weaved strands into crownlike plaits.

To get the prettiest punchy pout, color in lips with deep blackberry pencil, then layer vibrant violet lipstick on top.

After prepping hair with volumizing foam and blow-drying with a flat brush, French-braid a large section, starting from the left of the nape and continuing up and around the top. Then braid the rest of the hair up the back of the head to the front, pinning both in place. Pull out random strands to make it messy.
