Fashion

the best of nwfw street style fall ’14

get inspired by our favorite outfits outside the shows.

by liza darwin

Everyone knows that the clothes you see on the runway during Fashion Week are only part of the equation--the real, instant inspiration factor most likely happens on the street.

So we recruited photographer Kimi Selfridge of Tan Camera to track all the action outside of the shows themselves, from Milk Studios to Lincoln Center and everywhere in between.

What we noticed? Along with the "duh" moments, like the models who killed it (Ming Xi and Staz, we're looking at you!), the predictable statement pieces (Fendi fur monster charms), a few trends emerged.

Whether it's all-blue everything, pink pastels, or overalls (still!), click through the gallery below for enough outfit inspiration to last you all Fashion Month long.
