Check Out These Amazing Posters Promoting Gender-Neutral Bathrooms

Stand in solidarity

by Hafeezah Nazim

More than 40 artists, models, musicians, magazines, and activists—including NYLON—have taken part in an inspiring new initiative called Arts Not Parts, which works to promote safety and acceptance of the trans community with a new campaign promoting bathrooms as safe spaces. The campaign, founded by New York’s Irregular Labs and a teenage girl named Grey, aims to support gender-fluid and trans youth by encouraging awareness about the lack of friendly and accessible bathrooms in public spaces. Artists like Sia and Peaches, as well as brands like Dazed Digital, have designed posters, which can be printed out and hung in bathrooms all over the country to show support for trans and gender-fluid individuals and spread awareness about their need for equal treatment.

You can check out some of the incredible and inspiring art in the slideshow, below. And if you want to print out your own, visit Arts Not Parts, here.
