OC X DKNY

it’s the best “throwback thursday” you’ll see all day.

We guarantee that this will be the best "throwback Thursday" you'll see all day: DKNY is reissuing their famous '90s styles, but with a twist. To our utter delight, that twist is courtesy of none other than Opening Ceremony, so yeah, this may be the best meeting of the fashion minds to ever happen. It'll be a robust collection of styles straight out of the archives, including those ranging from '91, spring '92, and resort and fall '94.

We have more details from Opening Ceremony's co-founder, Carol Lim, who who told us that while growing up on the West Coast she was always excited by the energy of New York. There was no brand more synonymous with '90s New York than DKNY. Lim says, "DKNY felt like we really understood the brand and we thought, 'Let's bring back the iconic pieces that they are known for.' The logo is so iconic--that was the starting point."

We couldn't agree more. There's something about that graphic that feels like it'll fit seamlessly into 2013. Logo graphics we all shall receive, come February 1st, when the collection hits stores and online. Until then, we have exclusive images shot by Anthony Maule. True to OC's style, this cookbook doesn't feature your JUST-average models: Cara Delevingne (her rocking the logo bodysuit--our favorite piece from the collection--is almost too good to be true), artist and director Vashtie Kola, DJ Kim Ann Foxman, and model Ian Sharp. The lookbook was styled by Jay Massacret, who according to Lim was instrumental in providing the perfect marriage between the two brands. Keep an eye out for the launch because everyone is going to be all over this one. Rihanna might even put her Kenzo sweatshirt to rest.
