Listen to P!nk’s First Single In Three Long Years!

Welcome back, girl!

For those who grew up listening to her, it’s been a long wait for something new by P!nk—a long wait. That ended at the stroke of midnight, however, when the former Alecia Beth Moore dropped her first single in three years, called “Just Like Fire.” Thank the pop gods, because it’s catchy as hell and has exactly the amount of self-empowerment messaging we would want from her.

Coming off of the soundtrack for the upcoming Alice In Wonderland sequel, titled Alice Through The Looking Glass, it’s also a return to soundtracks for P!nk. There’s simply no way to forget “Lady Marmalade” from Moulin Rouge!, right? Billboard reports that P!nk also covered Jefferson Airplane’s psychedelic classic “White Rabbit” for Alice Through The Looking Glass, which can only be a good thing.

In the years since P!nk released The Truth About Love in 2012, she’s become even more open and positive concerning issues such as bullying, mental health, and motherhood. The spirt of these themes is all over the lyrics for “Just Like Fire”.

So, is the first step in a return for P!nk? Is there a new album in the works? Right now there are just no answers to any of those questions. For the moment, though, we can all click on “Just Like Fire” below and head back to the ‘00s for a few minutes.
